Foot Prints-Rejuvenation

It's spring! To many of us here in the Valley of the Sun that means warmer temperature than we may really want. But, on the plus side, the flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping earlier in the day, and there is a sense of rejuvenation around us.

Rejuvenation. It means different things to different people. A common feeling is that of getting rid of old things, and starting with freshness. This can be done both physically and emotionally. Cleaning out closets, as well as minds, should be a high priority these days.

The living spring of rejuvenation is located within all of us! The human body has amazing systems for cleaning out the old, to allow for the new to become part of life. Here are a few simple things you can do to enhance your Spring Cleaning:

1. Inhale for a count of 2, and exhale for a count of 4.

2.Include cleaner, less processed foods into your diet. The simpler the food, the less ingredients, the better. Add an extra fruit or vegetable to your diet daily.

3. Move! Get outside and take a walk. Your joints, mind, and definitely your dog, will say "Thank You"!

4.Drink one less sweetened soda per day and replace with cool, clear water, perhaps with a supplement to induce better hydration.

5.Improve sleep by turning off all electronics 30 minutes prior to bedtime. Read a book or listen to relaxing music instead.

6. Intertwine your fingers, as in prayer, and press the sides of fingers together to help promote a sense of calm.

Happy Reflexing and Happy Spring!
